Why it works

Some team activities get everyone into the same room. Fewer get everyone mixing organically.

When teams join us, the person organising it usually tells us the same thing: they want something more active than another lunch or a hangout session, something their team would remember.

A typical team activity

Can look like this

  • Showing up, watching, leaving
  • Talking mostly to the people you already sit near
  • A nice afternoon, then back to normal on Monday
A Paddle Pickers session

Can look like this instead

  • Calling the ball, coordinating with whoever's up next
  • Titles mattering less once everyone is learning together
  • Someone asking when they can book the next session

So what actually creates that difference?

Not the sport itself. The format.

Most team activities don't really change who talks to whom. You end up next to the same few teammates you already sit near, the ones you already grab lunch with. Breaking out of that without it feeling forced isn't easy.

On court, the game does that work for you. Players rotate. You end up paired with whoever's up next, not just your usual desk neighbours. The conversation starts because the game asks for it, not because someone is running an icebreaker.

By the end of a session, most people have had a real moment with almost everyone in the room, not just a polite hello in the pantry.

See it in action

What a real session looks like

A snippet from one of our corporate workshops, so you can see what the session looks like.

How we work

You don't have to hunt for a court. We'll help with that.

We don't run sessions from one fixed venue. We coach wherever it's easiest for your team, near your office, near wherever your team's activities usually happen, or anywhere else across Singapore that makes sense for the group.

Tell us your preferred area

Near your office, your usual activity spot, or no preference at all. Either works.

We shortlist the court

Singapore now has a growing number of indoor courts, including air-conditioned ones at certain venues. Since the weather here can turn quickly, indoor is usually our first recommendation.

We handle the booking

We can help with the court booking.

Inside a session

The usual flow of a Paddle Pickers' workshop

This is how a session comes together once the objectives and the location are sorted. We adjust the focus, pacing and games depending on what your team is trying to get out of it, whether that's mixing across departments, energising a leadership offsite, or just having a good time together. Sessions are scheduled to fit your team's calendar.

Warm-up

Paddles in hand, first bounce. No rules yet, just a feel for the game. This is where the nerves usually drop.

02

Fundamentals

Your coach walks through the basics.

03

Rotating play

Games with rotating pairings across the team. This is where the actual bonding happens.

Wrap-up

A short debrief and a group photo.

Group size

Anywhere from a small team to a whole department. Tell us your group size and we design the session around it.

Location

We're not tied to one venue. Tell us your preferred area, or no preference at all, and we'll help shortlist and book the court.

Language

Our coaches run sessions in English or Mandarin, whichever works better for your team.

Workshop focus

Tell us what you're trying to achieve and we'll shape the session around it, not the other way round.

Who you're working with

One coaching standard, whoever's leading your session.

Coaching a group is a different skill from coaching one player. Our workshop coaches are trained to host and facilitate a room, not just teach the game, so instruction stays clear and everyone stays engaged, no matter their experience level.

Questions teams usually ask

Do we need any pickleball experience?

No. Most teams have zero experience. Sessions are designed for complete beginners and mixed-ability groups, so nobody is left behind.

How many people can join?

Anywhere from a small team to a whole department. Tell us your group size and goals, and we design the session around them.

Is this only for internal teams, or can we use it for clients too?

Both. Teams often start with internal team bonding, then come back to run something similar for clients or external partners. The same format works well either way, since it's really about getting a group moving and talking together.

What happens if it rains?

Since Singapore's weather can be unpredictable, our first recommendation is usually an indoor court. There's a growing number of indoor venues across Singapore, including air-conditioned ones, so a session doesn't need to be left to the weather.

Can you run a session near our office or a specific location?

Yes. We're not tied to a fixed venue, so we coach wherever works best for your team, near your office, near a planned activity area, or anywhere else that makes sense. We can suggest a shortlist of court options, or work with a location you already have in mind.

Do you provide the equipment?

Yes, paddles and balls are provided, just show up. We can book the courts as part of the planning.

Do you have set pricing?

We don't publish fixed pricing, since each session is shaped around your group size, location and goals. Share a few details with us and we'll come back with a tailored quote.

What languages do you coach in?

English or Mandarin, whichever works better for your team.
