Private pickleball coaching, built around your game

Whether you're learning to play for the first time, looking to refine your technique, develop consistency, or build confidence on the court, our private coaching tailors to your level and goals.

Who it suits

Who this is for

Whatever your starting point, the aim is to help you enjoy your games more and to hold your own in them.

New to racquet sports

Never held a paddle. We start at the beginning and take it at your pace.

Coming from another racquet sport

Tennis, badminton, table tennis or squash. The instincts transfer, up to a point.

Already playing socially

A few games in, and you want to feel steadier in them.

Starting later in life

You want a coach who takes that seriously.

Areas of development

What you will improve

The areas we work on with most players.

We'll assess your technique and help you improve your game from there.

Contact and control

A serve you can trust, and enough control to place the ball rather than just return it.

Reading the game

Where to stand, when to move up, which ball to leave.

Not rushing

Games start feeling different once you are not reacting to everything at once.

Programmes

Find the right programme

Private Coaching Programmes

A run of sessions that build on each other, shaped around what you want to work on. For people who would rather make steady progress than fix one thing and stop.

Beginner Introductory Clinics

For complete beginners. A first, unhurried introduction to the game. How to hold the paddle, how scoring works, and enough play to finish the session and enjoy it.

Technique and Fundamentals Clinics

Drills for players who already play. Useful when one skill keeps letting you down, and you want to focus on refining the technique.

Customised Private Group Sessions

For groups you put together yourself: family, friends, colleagues, or a birthday. We design the session around who is coming and what you want out of it.

Format

How sessions run

Most players work with us one-to-one. Some bring a group they have put together themselves: a partner, a few friends, or family.

Group size

For groups, we suggest about four players per coach so individual feedback doesn't get diluted.

Session length

From one hour. Groups often book two, so nobody feels rushed.

Mixed-ability

Groups are rarely at the same level. We design for that rather than teaching to an average.

Meet your head coach

Building confidence is just as important as building technique. Everyone learns at a different pace, and I believe coaching should be individualised, with skills broken down into smaller, achievable steps and small improvements celebrated along the way.

In their words

What players say

Confident to play and enjoy pickleball

I'm thankful to have met Coach Cedric, with whom I have engaged in 1-to-1 private coaching, as I have zero background in racket sports. From day 1, Coach demostrated patience & a positive attitude (step by step guides the basics... etc) and he has been very encouraging. Over time, I've not only learned the techniques, but I've also gained confidence, court awareness and the courage to play and enjoy pickleball.

Enjoying the learning process

Coach Cedric has been very patient and encouraging during the pickleball sessions. Overall, the coaching has helped improve my confidence on the court. I would recommend his coaching to all players who want to strengthen or pick up their pickleball skills while enjoying the learning process and always looking forward to his lessons.

Questions we get asked

Something not covered here? Drop us a message.

Do I need any experience to start?

No. Our Beginner Introductory Clinics assume you have never held a paddle. We start with the basics and build from there.

How long is a session?

Sessions start from an hour. Some players choose to go longer once they get into it. Groups often book two hours so that everyone gets proper individual feedback within the session. We will work out what suits when we talk.

Can I bring a friend or my family?

Yes, and many people do. You put the group together and we design the session around it. For groups we usually suggest around four players per coach, so everyone gets time for personalised feedback.

What if our group is at different levels?

That is the normal case rather than the exception. We design sessions so that people at different levels are playing together productively, which is often more enjoyable than being matched exactly.

I have played other racquet sports. Does that help?

It helps, and some of it needs adjusting. The reflexes and court sense transfer well. The swing and the pace are different, and that is usually where a few sessions make the biggest difference.

Can we be coached in Mandarin?

Yes. English is our default, and Mandarin is available when that suits you better. Let us know when you enquire so we can allocate the right coach.

What should I bring?

Comfortable clothes, court shoes preferred and water. We will bring paddles and balls if you do not have your own.

I am worried I will be too slow to learn.

This comes up often, and it is worth saying plainly: the pace is set by you, not by a group. Sessions are structured so that you are playing early and building from there.
