Return & Refund Policy — Coaching & Workshops

Paddle Pickers Last updated: 18 August 2026

This policy covers private coaching sessions, Paddle Discovery sessions, and corporate/group workshops booked through Paddle Pickers. The only physical items involved are the paddles and balls we provide during a session — if a paddle is damaged beyond normal cosmetic wear while in use, we'll bill you for its market value; balls and light wear and tear are covered by us as goodwill. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, which also govern your booking, including health, liability, and governing law.

Because coaching and workshops are services tied to a specific coach, court, and time slot, refunds work differently from a typical product return. The notes below set out exactly what to expect, organised by what you've booked, so there are no surprises.

Private Coaching & Paddle Discovery

Paddle Discovery is a coach-guided consultation — your coach shortlists paddles for you to try based on how you actually play, and walks you through them in person. It's always run with a coach, never a standalone paddle rental, so it follows the same cancellation terms as private coaching.

  • Cancelling or rescheduling with at least 48 hours' notice: you'll receive a full refund, or we'll move your session to a new time at no extra cost — whichever works better for you.
  • Cancelling, rescheduling, or not showing up with less than 48 hours' notice: the session is treated as used and isn't refundable. Your coach has held that time exclusively for you, so late changes affect their schedule directly. This applies even when the reason is bad weather — see the weather note below.
  • Genuine emergencies: if something outside your control comes up — illness, an accident, a family emergency — reach out as soon as you can. We look at these case by case.
  • If your coach is unavailable: should your assigned coach be unwell or otherwise unable to make it, we'll get in touch to arrange either a replacement coach or a reschedule at no cost to you. This is separate from the cancellation terms above and doesn't count against you.
  • Weather: wherever possible, we recommend and book sheltered or indoor courts for coaching specifically to avoid weather disruptions. If a session still needs to be rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice, it's treated as a standard late cancellation and isn't refundable, even if the reason is weather.
  • Because a coach is present throughout a Paddle Discovery session, paddles trialled during it can't be booked out or taken away separately from the session itself.

To cancel or reschedule, message us on WhatsApp or reply to your booking confirmation as early as possible.

Corporate & Group Workshops

Workshop bookings involve court reservations made on your behalf, so the terms are tied to how far in advance those courts are secured.

Quotations and rates

  • Court bookings are subject to availability at the time your booking is confirmed, and rates follow the current booking rate at that time — not the rate on your original quotation.
  • Quotations are valid for 14 days from the date issued.
  • We do not charge GST.
  • Weekend courts fill up quickly, so we secure these as soon as possible after confirmation. Weekday (non-peak) bookings are more flexible and typically need about 21 days' lead time.

Payment

  • We book your courts once we receive your initial payment.
  • Initial payment: 50% of the workshop package fee, plus the full court booking fee, due upon confirmation of your quotation.
  • The $50 court booking service fee is a flat fee per workshop, covering our service in securing court bookings on your behalf.
  • Final payment: the remaining balance is due on the day of the workshop, upon completion.
  • All prices are in Singapore dollars (SGD). We accept payment via PayNow for private coaching and Paddle Discovery, and PayNow (UEN) for workshops.

Cancellations

  • Cancelling 21 days or more before your workshop: your 50% deposit is refundable. The court booking service fee below is not.
  • Cancelling less than 21 days before your workshop: the 50% workshop deposit is non-refundable.
  • Paddle Pickers' court booking service fee ($50) is non-refundable once courts have been booked, regardless of notice given.
  • Any changes to, or cancellation of, the underlying court booking itself are subject to the relevant court operator's own terms, which are separate from ours.

Once your workshop begins

  • Once the workshop commences, the full package fee is billed and considered consumed — this applies regardless of whether the workshop runs to completion (for example, if it's cut short by weather or another disruption on the day).

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, in Singapore dollars (SGD), within 7 business days of approval.

If anything here is unclear, or your situation doesn't fit neatly into the above, just ask. We'd rather talk it through with you than have you guess. Reach us via the WhatsApp plugin, through the contact form on our site, or by email at askme@paddlepickers.sg.
